Stubborn Ignorance
In my hand, I hold the tool
I willingly become a fool
I stab my eye, I rip it out
I surgically remove my doubt
Because in the darkness, when I’m blind
I’m certain I won’t lose my mind.
But danger lurks, though I can’t see
And someday it will come for me.
